Seamless Infrastructure
All of our firm's offices are connected to each other through local and T-1 wide area networks which facilitates efficient firm-wide communication and collaboration among our attorneys and staff. Our offices utilize high speed connections, including wireless internet connections, terminal server connections, and Virtual Private Network connections. This allows us to quickly access email and client documents, perform legal research, and use other tools necessary to work effectively on any legal matter.
Basic Operation
Hoffman Kelley computers are linked through local and T-1 wide area networks, that support both voice and data, to readily exchange information between staff, offices, and clients. We employ mainstream software applications that integrate with each other and with the applications utilized by the majority of our clients, including Microsoft Office products.
All of our attorneys and staff are trained in the effective use of computers and technology which are thoroughly integrated into the daily workings of the firm.
Remote Access
Hoffman Kelley attorneys can remotely access the firm's computer systems through our secured Virtual Private Network (VPN). Attorneys have the capabilities to remotely check e-mail, access internal databases, transfer files, produce documents, and perform research. The integration of Web-based technologies permits legal staff operating from different offices or remote locations to share documents and collaborate on conceptual and substantive matters without the difficulties and delays previously encountered with a paper-oriented office.
Document Imaging
Hoffman Kelley is committed to utilizing state-of-the-art technology to reduce document management costs, expand attorney and staff efficiency and improve the probability of a successful outcome. Central to this commitment is our use of document imaging.
Hoffman Kelley is a pioneer among law firms in utilizing document imaging technology to manage documents. To facilitate our paperless office, our document imaging system consists of hardware and software which converts hard-copy documents into electronic images, creating the equivalent of an electronic photocopy.
Hoffman Kelley strongly believes that document imaging gives our attorneys a competitive edge in legal and strategic case matters, and thereby improves our client service and increases the probability of a successful outcome. We also strongly believe that document imaging represents the most cost effective document management system for any size or type of litigation.
Billing System
The firm has developed custom billing templates to meet client requirements. To accommodate special requirements, we have developed customized bill processing and formatting techniques designed to combine timely response with clear and concise explanations of time spent on behalf of the firm's clients. Bills can be produced in a wide variety of formats, including ABA or client-defined task code. Our billing system enables us to transmit invoices and statements electronically in a form that best suits each clients' needs.
