Practice Areas

Mr. Thompson’s practice has been devoted to the representation of employers and their insurance carriers, in the areas of labor law, commercial transactions, corporate law, general civil litigation, and workers’ compensation. Mr. Thompson currently limits his practice to the representation of insurance carriers and self-insured entities in workers’ compensation proceedings before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC), and related litigation involving insurance defense and subrogation.

Mr. Thompson has received defense verdicts in District and County Courts of the State of Texas, and many favorable decisions while representing insurance carriers before the DWC. Mr. Thompson has also appeared before several State and Federal administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, State Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Texas Workforce Commission.
